New Date September 23&24, 2011 - CO South Fork, Denver & Rio Grande Railway Historic Foundation Rio Grande Fall Color Tour Run. This
low key run is great for mentoring or learning how your car operates at high
altitude while running through some of the most beautiful scenery in Colo. .The
run this year has been moved to these dates to run at the same time as the SLRG
runs because of anticipated over booking on the LaVeta Pass run which is held to
20 cars per day. We have a maximum of 40 cars per day this year so you can
happily run one or both days. No Smoking, No Hi-Rails. Spark arrestors and
sweeps will be required. NARCOA rules and insurance will be in effect. Checks
should be made to RMD. Cost 140.00$ per day for non- RMD members , but for RMD
members 100.00$ for the first day and 50.00$ for the second day. Your check is
your reservation, and is due two weeks prior to the event. Set on is at the
crossings west of the South Fork Colo. Depot of the D&RG R.R. at 7:00 a.m. on
Sept 23 &24, 2011. Lunch is served at beautiful Blue Creek restaurant . Stops at
Wagon Wheel Gap, Palisades, and at the only operating stub switch on std. guage
