RMD Annual New Years Day Run
The Rocky Mountain
Division will sponsor the "1st Annual New Years Day" excursion on the
CS&ERR,
Colorado Springs,
Colorado. January 01, 2007
This excursion takes
place on the ex-Rock Island Line that ran from Colorado Springs to
Chicago.
We have about 2.8
miles of track to run on, and we will make as many trips as the
participants want.
Westbound, you have
Pikes Peak looming in the foreground. Snow capped at this time of year.
The excursion is at
the whim of the weather gods also. If it is really lousy weather, the
excursion will be canceled.
Seton: 12 noon.
Be sure to bring
your own warm drinks.
NARCOA rules will
apply.
This is a Non-NARCOA
event.
Cost: $5.00 per
person (This money will be going towards the track maintenance on the
CS&ERR)
