Towner Line V&S Railway Inc. NA Junction (CO) and Towner, CO. This is the former MoPac/SP-D&RGW line that connects with the BNSF at NA Jct and K&O at Towner. This approximately 125 mile line crosses the open country of Eastern Colorado on welded rail, a very smooth ride. The Rocky Mountain Division provided workcrews to the V&S in spring of 2006 to clear flangeways in crossings in preparation to reactivating the line. (Click on a thumbnail to see the larger image.
